7.4. The Crossroads
The Crossroads
Looking down the hill along High Street North towards the North you can see a crossroads. In 1811 the High Street was straightened at the time of Enclosure. These crossroads mark the north end of the village after which is the fourth Manor of Stewkley, The Grange, which you cannot see because of the trees.
Up the Bletchley road there was a group of cottages known as Tag End or Crow End.

Area 7.4 The Crossroads
If you now look along High Street North towards the North, down the hill, you can see a crossroads. The High Street was straightened at the time of enclosure in 1811 and these crossroads mark the north end of the village after which is the fourth Manor of Stewkley, which you cannot see, known as the Grange.
To either side of the crossroads were two older clusters of cottages and just into Dean road was an area called Wood Hall. Likewise, just along the Bletchley Road was a group of cottages known as Tag End or Crow End, now demolished.
