Numbers 6, 10 and 15 High Street North
Number 6 was formerly the Bull and Butcher Inn. The Palmer family lived here for many years and in addition to running the pub, undertook shoe repairs in a barn out at the back.
Number 10 was for many years the Post Office and shop. The shop front had a doorway with display windows on either side.
Number 15 Kings Head house was another former pub.

Number 6 was formerly the Bull and Butcher Inn. The Palmer family lived here for many years and in addition to running the pub, undertook shoe repairs in a barn out at the back.
This building then became the village library and was also used as a doctor’s surgery for visiting Doctors from the Wing practise. It’s now a private dwelling.
Number 10 was for many years the Post Office and shop. The shop front had a doorway with display windows on either side.
Number 15 Kings Head house was another former pub. The present building was constructed in 1887 after the previous one was destroyed by fire, said to have been caused by sparks from the engine of a threshing machine.
